Why? Because the effects of sleep deprivation can greatly impact your waking life.

Follow these Golden Rules to get the sleep you need:

2. Establish a regular sleep schedule.
3. Get continuous sleep
4. Make up for lost sleep

GREAT SLEEP STRATEGIES:

  • Reduce stress
  • Watch out for caffeine (after 2pm), chocolate, nicotine, liquor (within 3 hrs of bedtime), high aerobic exercise (within 3 hrs of bedtime)
  • Sleep in a quiet, dark, cool room
  • Quality mattress and pillow are important
  • Put yourself in a relaxing atmosphere
